The Big Event
As creative director at Make International, Keith Brymer Jones regularly exhibits at Top Drawer, a leading homeware trade show. The event lasts a few days, and the stands have to be put up (and taken down) very quickly, which is challenging when you have hundreds of products to display.
Narrative helped Keith set the stage with a range of backdrops & banners that featured some of his signature products, to speed the process of dressing the set.
Signature Products
The backdrops are there to catch the eye of passers by, and should not distract from the physical products on display once a buyer is in the stand. This meant keeping detail to a minimum, and letting the craftsmanship of the ceramics on the set of the trade show stand do the work.
Photography Led
To be sure we had high quality imagery that was suitable to be blown-up to the size of a wall, we shot most of the photos ourselves, so they could be scaled up for use as banners & backdrops. This included many of of Keith’s signature products like the Love Mugs, and image that has been used in various other places including the cover of Ceramics: Art + Perception #108
Top Drawer
Held in the heart of London, Top Drawer is the UK’s leading design-led trade show, with hundreds of homeware exhibitors. The show attracts buyers from independent boutiques, department stores, concept stores, and galleries across the UK and abroad.
In addition to exhibiting at the trade show, Keith Brymer Jones has often given talks about his relationship with clay and the processes he uses to make his signature products.
